Just got this heli, its not my first but it is the first one I have been able to hover successfully. I got a Blade CP as a gift about a year ago, and had never had any luck getting it into a stable hover. My problem seems to be that I had never really learned what I needed to know in order to control an RC helicopter. The Blade CX2 hovered for me "out of the box." Finally I can now practice the control inputs needed to achieve success. It flies fine and hovers in my kitchen. I do have to be very careful as the power of the 2cell LiPo battery can cause it to just leap off the ground up to about 30 feet of altitude if I "goose" the throttle too much. Very fine control inputs seem to be best. I'll be practicing maneuvers with this one for quite a while until I can go back to the CP with more confidence. I will recommend the Blade CX2 to anyone of any skill level, it is just a fun little machine.
Hits Misses
• Longer flying time with 2cell LiPo battery.
• Success right out of the box
• 2.4Ghz Spektrum technology radio system.
• Very sensitive to light wind.

I have a E-Flite CX2 and its my first heli. I bought it and have had nothing but fun with it. It flies great indoors and pretty good outdoors as along as the wind is minimal. I would recommend this heli to anyone getting into the hobby. You can upgrade the CX2 with Aluminum upgrades for stronger applications and cool looks. The trainer gear was helpful at the beginning. I do agree the blades can break with chattering but they are very inexpensive to replace which makes it easier to have fun this heli.
Hits Misses
• Flies right out of the box with minor adjustments possible needed. Very easy to do.
• Lets you learn the helis controls without crashing every time
• Parts are cheap to replace like...blades
• Battery holder somewhat flimsy, but still works good, may want to perfrom some minor mods for battery placement/balancing
• Chatter on blades beak, but they are cheap.
• Not too many negative things to say.

I love this thing. It has been a gerat little heli since I opened the box. It isn't the best outside, but what this size is? It is very stable and has helped me progress with my other helis. Even though I have moved on to bigger helis I still find myself getting this one out when the weather isn't cooperating or just can't get outside. I also use it constantly to help me with my orientation. Just an all around great starter heli.
Hits Misses
• Ready to go out of the box
• Very easy to fly
• Nothing needed to fly
• Not the best outside
• Gets a little hard to see when flying away from yourself

This is by far the most stable RTF heli. I am new to the hobby and got this hovering and flying around the room in no time at all.

I would highly recommend this to a beginner!

But, do not try to fly this outside in a slightly windy day.
Hits Misses
• Very Stable!
• Short learning curve.
• Light winds take it.

My hobby shop recommended and help me trim it several times. I can do everything now by myself. I removed the click stops from the "throttle." And bought a "parts only" CX2 from eBay. Easy to fly, a confidence builder. I have about 15'x15' to fly in. Wish I had something bigger. I fly from one landing zone to another, in circles, in S shapes and also practice these things with the nose pointed at me for training. Must work hard to keep the proper altitude...and avoid that *#!* ceiling fan!! I fly three batteries worth every day and, after about 8 weeks, I am eager to move up. Will be getting a T-rex 450SE next and will be glad to get OUTSIDE. I don't intend to sell the CX2 off, will keep it for practice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Hits Misses
• The right price (under $200) and cheap to repair.
• A great trainer, all in one package.
• Easy to understand mechanics.
• Rudder commands require throttle compensation.
