I say the xtr reflex. Its like watching a heli video but you're in control. I think its more realistic than the G3.

I have the XTR as well. It flys as close to the real thing as any I've tried. Also, you get the upgrades and hundreds of aircraft downloads for free !

thanks cb and cuzz i think i seen that at burners i,m going
there after work i'll check. i can assume they have setups
for your own radio? i'd like to pick one up next week probably
be asking questions.
heli-cuzz
11-04-2006, 08:13 PM
Yes, you use your own radio. I have a Futaba super9chp and it has the micro{square}connector in the back of the tx.
Interfaces available for the XTR Reflex .
1. Round Futaba ( you must own a Futaba Transmitter )
2. Mini JR and Airtronics Plugs ( You must own a JR or Airtronics Transmitter )
3. Futaba Square Plug ( You must own a Futaba Transmitter such as the 9CHP )
4. Trainer Transmitter with Interface ( Complete package, no pre requirements )
Make sure your computer is capable of handling the reflex sytem requirements..

I also have the XTR Reflex....BEST investment I have made in this hobby so far! Great graphics and the downloads for additional models are free too.

awesome, you'll be more than happy with the XTR reflex. I have a dell xps400 with all the recommended requirements. No freeze-ups at all, no skipping, just straight out balls to the wall heli simulating. I set my sim up as my real heli is set up. Headspeed, pitch and throttle. The menu is very extensive to the point you can shave weight of the aircraft and such. Any problems, let me know and I'll try to help the best I can.

oops thats jennifer thats who i am building that
for while her shogun midget is on order.
question the column in the picture all the linkages are real tight
hardly any play if any. were on my caliber 400 the linkages have a bit
of slop and are designed that way to become tight under load what
would be the reasoning behind that? in the end both perform the
same manuvering

Hi jenn :)
I don't know the reasoning between the two have different tightness. I feel every heli will have some amount of play in the linkages. They should be tight but with smooth bind free movement.

cuzz heli funds went to a sim last night
the hs was out of reflex and my son was with me and wanted g3 a couple
of his friends have that and i guess they can all hook up
and fly together.(thats what i was told i have no idea).it will probably
be another week before i get reflex to load here at work i know
getting on the one at home unless he is out will be impossible.it is
kind of cool his one friend flies foamies and makes his own he buys
sheets of compressed foam and designs them on a cad system he
has on his computer then gives them to me and i make a tool path
for him to make it here.i,ve only done it twice for him but it has
me thinking about digitizing frames and trying differant materials.
got a little side tracked later

a cable to 42 inch plasma that was sweet.hopefully
he'll be at home when i get off work and can show
me how to get it going.i think your going to be right
about being pysched i,m 40 years old and i don't
think i ever played a video game never had any interest
but i think thats about to change.

Hey Cuzz! Doing some winter maintenance, too? I just made a HUGE order to Heli Proz ($434 but one was a new gyro/servo for $289).
Looks like you made an order somewhere by all the parts in bags.

Those are from my C~5 back in mid to late july. My Trx suitcase is where I hold most of my parts.
What gyro/servo did you get?

I got that Logic Tech 6100T/6100G. Lots of guys are raving about it, so I got it for the gasser. I want something I can trust on it and from what I hear, I won't be disappointed.
The T-Rex case is a great parts case!
