I am wondering how it will do against the Trex 600 also. Have been waiting to make a choice until I see the outcome. Maybe the batteries will be better on the Raptors?

Please let me know so I never visit that store.

I thought that was high....I had also seen it for around the same price as the Raptor 50 Kit, I don't know what electronics would have run with the batteries, but it's gotta be a combo with the 12Z or something to be THAT expensive.

Thanks heliry2
I will check it out, Im rather interested in one of these, I read in #7 that the T-Rex 600 only gets 5 min flying time in 3D, not that I will be going there for a while, but that isn't long when you consider the dollar investment, so maybe the Raptor could be the way to go :) Time will tell!!

BTW Happy birthday for the other day :)

blax1 i spoke with some guys flying the trex 600 and
they were sayingthey were getting about 4:30 - 4:45 mins
of hard 3D flying.yesterday alot of talk revolved around a
new evo pack thats supposed to be out in the next
couple of weeks.huge debate going on over which
way to go rex or raptor it seemed to be about 50-50

You also need to consider battery options. The Trex runs on a 6S setup whereas the 620SE runs on a 10S setup. There will be a slight cost difference between the two.

Or you could always get the Raptor E-550 for $295 which can run on 6S.

Good morning heliry2 & Motions :)

Thanks for the Info people, yes in the last edition of RC Heli- the article said maybe 5 min full 3D, its interesting to hear the debate going on heliry2 4.30-4.45 minutes is not a lot of time, it will be also be interesting to see the new Evo batteries that are coming out, I'm looking for something new for my 450SE apparently they are making one just to suit that machine so it will be good to see what happens, I wonder if they will make that much difference anyway  like I said early it is a significant investment in some thing that'll only run for 5.00 minutes, Motions, do you have any statistics on the 10S in the E620SE and will a 10S fit into the 600?. Yes!! I've been looking at the smaller version E550 nice little chopper also, I'm just in a quandary as to which way to go, maybe I should just go nitro and be done with it, but in my situation flying at home, electric is more neighbor hood friendly :D
Thanks for your help and interest fellas!!! :)
Cheers Ralph

Yes, there are people putting 8S and 10S setups in the Trex600 but with some frame modifications.

I ran a 10S setup on my Raptor but it was a scaler. I got around 15-20 minute flights on that setup. Higher headspeeds and 3D will consume the electrons a little quicker but still well above 5 minutes.

I appreciate your response, :) Yes 15-20 minutes is a little more realistic, I will do some more home work on those Evo's , probably get one for my Rex and see how that goes, I'm waiting a bit longer before I make a decision the on electric Raptor, I will read other forums and try to get a consensus of opinion, before I make my purchasing decision.

you can run 1500 series neu motors in the T-REX 600 without mods to the frame. the motors are not cheap, but they are very high quality and made in the USA
