It goes at it twice - you go the first round, it does its thing, then it shuts down, and you have to go at it a second time - it's the second time that grabs it........... you have to hit the upgrade button again :)
from the site...................
The Launcher will need to restart partway through this process. Answer "Yes" when it asks if you want to continue downloading the new version. When this process is finished, you will have RealFlight G3.5.

if you choose upgrade to specific version, 3.5 is not there, maybe it's been taken down for some reason?

I just went back and had a look - 3.5 shows up on mine as being available, however since I have already installed it I can't re-trace my steps to see if their instructions have fallen apart - I hope that you can get it - some nice news Helis, landscape and training runs, pylon time trials - night flying - it just keeps going - this one would be worth it if you had to pay.....
the fact that it's a FREE upgrade is "outstanding" on their part !! :D

it's a biggie, but well worth it - they even have a coaxial trainer and a very good Cp replica, that's every bit as touchy as the Cp Pro :D
I almost forgot - a large "huey" that will bring tears to your eyes :)

Good morning phatchantz
I downloaded G3 3.5 last night 229MB WOW!!!
But its an amazing bit of software love all the changes didn’t have a lot of time last night to play, but I did have a go at the hover training, crashed about 16 times before I realised what was going on :D but it will be a great training aid particularly the orientation training.
Thank you for your help with the download info- :)
Cheers Ralph

Hey Ralph,
What's the deal with the "training" thing - from what I read, you can progress through levels, having passed the level that you are on -
I tried the hover training ( with the orange circle ) but have no idea on how you win, or how to finish - it just keeps on going ?????
but YEH - it is WORTH EVERY PENNY :D

LOL When I work it out I'll get back to you :) but it is great fun, when I started the hover training the chopper just went straight up and crashed, straight up and crashed :( it did that for a while then I realized you just have to fly it within the circle (there are no instructions) so I did and that sorted that out, but it was very late so I shut it down and went to bed, but I will back at it tonight :D

I found that unless I reset with some power ( rather than stick down ) the thing would smack into the ground right away - if I reset with a little stick I could get going - I guess that after all it is the Beta - maybe a little bug to be worked out -
just what I need though - a different format to train on/with - I thought that I had the "hovering" thing down until I tried this :D ( the word humbling comes to mind - is IT EVER )
We're supposed to have two good days of weather coming up, so it's back outside after all the rain that we've been having - - - - - - can't wait :)
have you tried the "huey" - it's like flying a _tank_, but looks fantastic

With the upgrade I had to reconfigure some of my home-made models. It is much more sensitive to CG, which is great. I had to move the battery forward in my blade cp model five inches, which is physically impossible but the colorscheme doesn't relocate it so it looks and flies correct. I absolutely love the night flying. It even added lights to my blade and Trex. The Axe is boring in the daylight, but awesome with lights.

where do you put those trex models at so g3 can see them, i put them in 3 diffrent places and nada...mothing...bumpkiss..zip....
that hovering mode is very humbling, kicked my ass, but not as bad as the heli orientation trainer. we should post our times on that one, well, not me because it was bad....really bad

I've taken 3.5 off my laptop, it's a resource hog!! Was just too choppy to play, yet 3.00 is fine.
I'll try it on the desktop when I get home early Nov

when you hit the aircraft tab along the top ( of G3 ) to load in a new one, one of the drop down tabs should be labelled "custom" - that's where mine showed up................
ps: I've found the secret to the "orientation" trainer - it comes 12 / 24 to a case - it's a ratio kind of thing - the more of these, the better at this :D ( not really, but I'd be williing to try )

Phatchantz-
What is the path to import new models for G3? I took a quick glance at the online manual and didn't see anything, and I am too busy (or too lazy) to figure it out, so I thought I would just ask.
Thanks
