i have been using g3 lately and i have yet to find how to set the curves so i can maintain inverted flight. any ideas?

are you using the included controller? if so, it should be a simple matter of flippin the idle up switch, and it will be all set up for aerobatics. you do have to use one of the 3D helis, the trainer models and 30 size and scale etc won't fly inverted.
... without tweaking them :D

yes, i got the box set with the controller. the idle sitwch is the one on the right on top right? all that seems to do is turn the engine off no matter what heli i use.
actually that would be throttle hold, idle up is on the left.

I am a little unclear as to what is being described ( are you mode 1 ) -
my G3 out of the box has the idle up upper right ( i have not remapped anything )
my CP Pro out of the box has idle up upper right
anyone ??

the blade CP does have the idle up on the wrong side for most of us, but I have never seen the three position switch for idle up on the right on a G3 controller. On mine there is a three position switch on the left for idle ups, and a two position on the right for throttle hold.

just looked at my manual -
left hand = idle up
right hand = Throttle Hold / Smoke / Retracts
so even my manual and controller don't agree ( ha ) - the left hand switch has three settings, while the right hand switch only has two -
must be a revision issue :) - or maybe quality control had the day off the day they popped mine together :D
I suppose that I could always do some surgery

One more quick question - why 3 positions for idle up - is it not an on / off situation ? ( and you would want this beside the throttle? )
thanks for any replies !
