I have seen the videos, I have leveled my head set from the blade pushrods down to the swash plate, I have even somehow now reversed my throttle so when i plugged the heli in the other day I tried to cut my finger off with the tail roter. this is really starting to get on my nerves. I own the trex 450xl cde. and for the life of me i cant get this spectrum 6 radio to talk to my transmitter in tern the servos so it is functioning correctly. I have been sent many places to check out the set up for ccpm but all roads lead to the set up of a trex 450 se with servos mounted directly in the frame. This is obviouslyt not doing me any damn good as my results are nill aside from the fact that i have a $600 vegi matic on my work bench!. all joking aside does any one have any input.
best regards

the CCPM setup on a CDE vs an SE is essentially the same, the CDE just goes through bellcranks. slow down, take a breath, and work through it one step at a time, there is a very steep learning curve getting into helis, and a big part of it is the setup! here is were you start
you want to first disconnect all of the servo horns, then get the radio into 120' CCPM mode. make sure the 3 swash servos all move with collective throttle movements (during setup make sure to disconnect your motor) then center the throttle stick, set the servo horns at 90' to the pushrods, and play with the servo reversing to get the servos to move the swash up and down together with collective (throttle) movements. then use the swash menu to set the direction and amount of travel. reverse the control by using a negative value. The servo reverse menu will only reverese each servo, while a negative value in the swash menu will reverese the function. hope this helps, take a breather if you have a problem, it will come in time.

OK people I’m about to give you two absolutely fantastic links that will get your T-Rex FLYING. I used it and it worked, it is imperative that you follow all the instructions and cross the“T, s” and dot the “I, s” as well if you do, you’ll be FINE. These instructions are for Spektrum DX6 and Align T-Rex 450SE and XL CDE (I will comment on that later I need help!!)
I think at this stage you should re-set your Spektrum DX6 TX back to the factory default (that information is in the Spektrum manual) and start again using the instructions you are about to receive, trust me they work!!!
This first link is basic helicopter assembly you are probably beyond that stage now, but just double check anyway, to make sure it is assembled the way it should be. The Align instructions are a bit Chinglish and interpretation can be a hassle. :)

The second link is to the radio set-up which is extremely concise and easy to follow, and also has a section on heli- servo configurations, including rudder etc, setting up pitch, gyro set up, tail set up and so on, etc, etc

If you follow these instructions you will be smiling from ear to ear, I actually printed them out and set up an instruction book to make my life easier I hope it does yours.
Thanks to RCGroups and Digimemphoto for the information.
Now my problem, HDE/CDE isn’t CDE 120degree CCPM with servo’s directly under the swash and HDE is the bell crank system, can someone sort me out, I tried to work it out months ago but gave up!! :(
Cheers Ralph
