into ESC 8.4V through both. plug ESC into receiver and motor
good movent all around with servos no head speed pitch servo fighting movement. throttle down

Sounds like you're running a 2 cell lipo. A setup like that probably requires a 3 cell. Those voltages are way too low. I'm not completely familiar with that bird, though.

If it is a 3 cell 11.1V, it might be stuffed @ 8.5V, because a 11.1V Li-po shouldnt be discharged below 9V

Suspect the esc or motor if all was ok beforehand........check all wiring to the esc and motor..if in doubt, swap it out! Its the only way to be 100% sure.

both batteries used for test were 3 cell 2100.
blax your right the one is stuffed at 8.5 but
the other has full charge with same results.
put a new esc on and were good to go.thanks
all for help.saturday night while trying to find
anything on receivers or batteries in my rcheli
mags i came across an article about 3 cell
and not letting go below 9 i did not know that.
the esc was programmed to 8.5 so that took
care of the one battery because when i put it on
the charger it would error the second one was at 12
need less to say the new esc is programmed to 9
again thanks and hopefully my problem will help
someone else.

not so fast after new esc the other day we had esc problems
called hacker they wanted me to send escs' and motor
to them. new esc litterily melted off 2 way tape on
2nd flight and was fire hot they think it may be a
short in the motor will let you know what they tell
me. i overnighted them to get there today so hopefully
it won't be more than 2 weeks.

it is 12:30 thursday in detroit just got off
the phone with hacker brushless and was told
there was a problem with the motor probably
caused by the 1st esc. so they are replacing
both the motor and esc. should have them within
7 - 10 days no charge delay is because of motor
back orders. hobby shop is going to credit or
refund money for the second esc my choice. i feel
thats pretty good service.

hrliry2 I would suggest a higher cutoff voltage. Those packs are expensive and 9 volts is the low end voltage. Go to about a 9.5v or a little higher. One other way to go about it is run your heli for a set amount of time start at 5 min then see how much charge you put back into the pack. I don't know where you will end up on that heli, on my Trex I get about 8 min flight times and still have about 10 v left over. So in my case if my timer goes off and I'm out a little ways or the wind is making landing difficult I have a little time before I have to buy a new battery.

thanks for the suggestion i am going to program power reduction
at 10 fwhen my stuff gets back to me hopefully this week
the battery i thought was stuffed we got a full charge back into
with a tp charger but won't be able to see how it responds until
i am back up hopefully as good as new and give me one more pack

Hello Heliry2
When you have sorted your battery dilema's out, have a look at this gadget its cheap :) Especially were you live, I've got one on my T-Rex it has saved my chopper and my batteries as well
http://www.tech-mp.com/radio_elect.php
I've got a photo of my chopper with it on , when i can work out how to send photos I will :D
Hey I think I just worked it out, Yes there is the LGG just above the rear skid mount, nice and small and out of the way, the leds are extremely bright and can easly be seen..Neat hey?
