It was windy during my first session, but alot of fun. This session was just before sunset.

Here's my new avi. :D

The wind died out late today. It was perfect for flying.

Out of curiosity, have you ever thought of mounting your tank upside down? haha :p

I started flying in May 2005.

You an I started about the same time, then. I had flown fixed wing for 2 years before that.

I didn't start fixed wings until my first flite with a heli. My first plane is a Parkzone stryker. That was fun to learn on. :D Foamies can crash and crash, yet a little tape and a fresh battery and its right back in the air. :D

A Stryker was my second plane. I had an Aerobird Extreme for my first. It was awesome for "road flying". A friend of mine and I have most of our winters off, so He would drive and I'd fly the plane with the antenna out the window! Man, did we get the looks! My record was about 8 1/2 miles on one battery flying at 1/2 throttle! The Stryker wasn't so good for road flying because it didn't have a daihedral (spelling) on the wing, so it was hard to keep going down the road in a straight line. The Aerobird would self-level so I wasn't always on the sticks to keep it centered.

That's awesome td. I've always wanted to fly my heli down the road. :D

Always enjoy seeing yours and td's pics. A great motivator and reminder as to why I became interested in this hobby! ;) Unfortunately,I still live in the stone age with dialup,so your videos are near impossible to download :( .

Keep the pics coming guys!

Thanks helifino. :)
I'm lucky my wife enjoys my heli-hobby, she has never nagged or gave me a difficult time, and I fly everyday. She does all the photography and vids. We're gonna get a real vid camera, cuzz I can't take the 15 second clips anymore. I wanna see a flite on video from a full tank to an empty one. :D
Sorry about the dial-up, I had it once....... just one time.

Heli-cuzz. Have you got alot of use out of your caliber 5? Is it getting old?

I'm just about five gallons of fuel through my Caliber50. All the linkage is snug but not to tight{perfect slop free system} I check out the entire heli after every flying session. I'll probably change the ball links after ten gallons or when they show excessive wear.

Then how old is your 30? Does the engion have alot of gallons through it?

Thanks sf, its all in how much you practice to competently pilot a rcheli

I'm a firm believer to learn all upright orientations before flipping it inverted. I usually fly my heli like a plain when in FFF, but with pitch control. Upside right, no probs in every known orientation... Inverted, I still got a long way to go. :(

Practicing pitch management during not so stationary backflips. Needs more practice. :(
