I was bored, so I decided to rip the kyosho scheme off my heli and stripe it. Kinda weird and never thought about it until I heard on the radio this morning that the Yankees minor league baseball team is coming to the Scranton, Pa. area. You'll understand from this pic. Most likely this won't last cuz I hate the Yankees :D

Newly married, heli hobby, AND bored - how can this be?

I agree with you though, the stock decals have got to go. I was thinking of painting, but I hear all the horror stories about trying to paint these jugs. So I'm going to try to come up with something cool using vinyl. Carbon 3D tail fins will take care of the back end!

BTW... How did you get your heli to stick to the wall like that?

Well, first off my wife is pregnant, so I'm gonna be a daddy again. :D She's going through the usual pregnancy hormone changes. I was just sitting around when I decided to restyle my Cal50.

Its hung by a double hook to the front skid struts. Attached to the wall, into a stud for secureness. I'll post a pic of my homemade heli-hangar.

cb, you can paint the canopy without peeling. You must sand the shine off the plastic before you apply any paint. I did it to my first Caliber30 canopy with no peeling. It took a paddle off the canopy in a crash to chip the paint. :D Although, my first attempt at a paint job without sanding, you could rub the paint off by hand.
Apply four or five coats of paint to your taste after sanding and you shouldn't have any peeling problems.
