OK Chuck what next?

K, I was cool to go wireless after CB's great article in the October issue. Guess what! Horizon says's the WL1000 is discontinued. Can we use a AR6100 receiver using a X9303. Or how about using something connected to the Linksys router. I'm open for suggestions, nothing like siting in my Lazy Boy on a cold winters night using the sim.:D Glad Ryan got his! :p

Looks like Horizon is now distributing the Pheonix Sim. So I guess they decided to drop this, as it was specifically designed for the FS One. I'm sure you can still find some around, you'll just have to look through some of the on-line retail outlets.

Futaba has one coming out, but it'll only work with the FASST transmitters.

I'll look around and see if I can come up with one. You only need to use 3 wires
+5volts, ground, and data correct? So using a Phoenix cable you connect it to the cable holding the bind button on it, then bind it to the X9303. Oh BTW here's the completed RC Heli power supply that Rock and I built. :D

I don't have a Phoenix adapter, so I can't comment on it's pin-outs. But you're correct, the WS-1000 only needs +5, Ground, and Signal. And yes, it can bind to the JR X9303.

Nice job on the power supply, but I don't for one minute believe Rock had anything to do with it. He can't even put a decal on straight.

Pin configuration on the Phoenix cord. I only get one volt because no load but the polarity is correct.

Phoenix is USB, right? Then there should be +5v in there somewhere (assuming your plugged into a powered USB socket), whether there is a load or not. Whether or not the +5v is brought out to the cable that plugs into your transmitter is an entirely different matter. If I was a betting man, I'd bet it isn't.

Yep, Phoenix. You got me thinking now. There is a small box in the middle of the cord between the trainer plug and the usb plug. I'll bet your right. That is where the +5 volts is located. I'll unplug that from the computer and get back to you. It's tucked up under my desk right now so the dog doesn't rip the cable out. Hence the reason wireless.:D
