Yes, I think everyone would agree that it's a good choice, especially if the price is right. When you say it comes with everything does that include a radio? What make/model?

Can you fly yet? At least on a simulator?

Assuming everything is in good shape it comes down to the equipment that's on it. I'm gussing that if you bought everything new (todays's equivilent) that it's about a $1600.00 build including radio system. This amount would represent an "OK" build with nothing special on it. It probably has so-so servos and a 401 gyro (total WAG on my part! Lol!). If it has better, cool, but the asking price is about 50% of the new price.

For this heli and this radio system that's a bit high. 50% of new could be a super deal if it were a different heli (and it could be an awful deal if it were an older model). I'm not a Futaba follower but it sounds like it's a 72MHz conversion (actually you said that).

Anyway, if it's in decent shape $600.00 would be a good deal for you. $800.00 would be good for him. Trex 600's have been very popular and the parts are not expensive to buy. Your new to the hobby so even if it has so-so servos that won't be a factor for you.

So if you get it for a good price this would be a good way to enter the hobby with a minimal cash outlay yet have decent equipment.

Let's see if you get some other opinions expressed here in the forum.

Well that sweetens the deal for you as the 611 is a pricey gyro. It makes the $800.00 figure look a bit better. You had already said it had a YS in it. CF blades - well it should have them, either Align or the CJY's that it has. And I don't suppose you know which Futaba servos are in it ?

If it's in good shape then it's a good buy. Are you able to see it or have him fly it?

The heli looks good.

If you take it as it's presented I suppose the $800.00 to $900.00 isn't too bad after all. It's got Youngblood blades and paddles. He didn't put the weights on the flybar that come with the paddles. While that may mean nothing it probably means that he's a reasonable heli pilot (taking the weights off make it more agile but more difficult for a beginner. If you want to put them back on they are easy to come by).

So, if it's in reasonable condition, have at it. The risk you take is the "Ebay" risk. He's got good feedback though.
