Thanks..the power of the 90 is a little overwhelming, but with more time should be fun!
Funny thing is, I'm so used to the EVO 50, this has really surprised me :D
The field is awesome...too bad its an elementary school playground. too many kids to worry about. Thats ok , I can make the trip to fly with KC, HIS field is much better!!1 :D

I like to say that 50's are cool but 90's rule! My friend has been flying his Vibe 50 and has been loving it. I let him fly my Vibe 90 and he went and built a Trex 700. I now call his Vibe 50 the orphan!

looks like I landed a bit rough..tail blades snapped off! hey, scott gray did that in Roch.!!! time to install the Radix..
Always flip Throttle Hold and auto down to land - even if it's only from two feet. It makes for softer set downs!

I really need to practice auto's, mine always end in a bounce..what are people running for thr hold settings..I'm on the DX-7? i don't have much cushion at the bottom..hope that makes sense...
I adjust the throttle hold setting so the engine is just a bit above idle when throttle hold is activated.
Practicing autos is very worth while as someday you will lose an engine up in the air. I used the sim to practice them. If you come down too slowly (not enough negative collective) you will expend too much energy that's in the head and there won't be anything left to 'flair' into a soft landing. It's better to come down quickly and have a lot of energy left so you can hover a couple of inches off the ground until you touch down. If you're a bit off balance when you touch down, full negative collective will upright the heli.

thanks Ots..I must be bleeding off too much spd at the bottom, it doesn't have the flair I get on the sim..course my headspeed has been giving me fits....time to unhook the ATG...

Thanks Blax1 , I wondered about the amount people are runnning their's.
I'm just starting to fly in idle up on my Evo, but have to set the ATG for higher hdspd on the big 90.

Well congrats on idle up.....
When I tried that on my Rex last month, I was hovering tail in at 20 feet off the deck, hit idle up 2 Wham TR went went left, heli dropped to about three feet instantly and I speared her in side ways CRUNCH......Really need to sort out throttle curves............
