E-flite is set to release the newest version of their popular Blade coaxial helicopter, the Blade CX3. Along with many of the features that made the original Blade CX so popular the new CX3 has some new features never before seen on a coaxial helicopter. A heading lock gyro is now incorporated into the 3-in-1 control unit. An officially licensed MD 520N canopy adds a scale look. The CX3 will be available ready to fly with a DSM2 2.4GHz radio or in a "Bind-N-Fly" version that allows you to bind it to any DSM2 transmitter from E-flite, Spektrum, or JR. The RTF version will be found at hobby shops for about $200 and the BNF version about $30 less. Both are due in early February.

I like the the NOTAR fuse, nice touch, since it doesn't have a tail rotor. I may actually have to get one for my 6 year old daughter/me... :D

i personally would like to see in articles quantified measurements as to why this feature works better as opposed to other features. like main blades, how much thrust is produced for a given pitch setting and r.p.m. compared to a competitors blade, flex, etc. would be interesting to actually see numbers attached to reviews rather than it "feels like this" or "looks like that".....

i myself havn't flown the cx3. but, i would assume that the "guts" are still the same, just with updated electronics. the gyros on the other ones you were constantly chasing as the battery lost charge.
