I have a trex 450XL CDE. I haven't put to much time in to it lately,so I'm still in the setting up phase(the hardest part so far). Because I wasn't looking forward to this part, I admit I have been putting it off. :o Everytime I think I'm almost there I find something else screwed up.
Anyway, when I give the controls up/down elevator or right/left aileron I notice that the swashplate doesn't level out after releasing the stick.. It's either leaning slightly left/right or forwards/backwards depending on the control given.
Is the problem with the swashplate(stock),linkages or servos? I tried triflo on the swash bearing but it didn't help. Looking for some ideas before I tear it completely down and redo it. I was considering going with a metal swash hoping that would take care of it.

What do the servo arms look like? Do they stop at different points? Or do they always stop at the same point? How is the tightness of the links? disconnect the links to the servo and try and manually move the swash and look for any resistance, it should be butter smooth. If you feel any resistance look for the tight links or sticking parts.

It sound like it could be a tight ball link , but just like CLM said, keep a eye on your servo control arms if they are returning to the same spot after cycling input with hands off, then start working your way up. for a tight link.
Good luck

Agreed, it's probably sticky links. Re-size the Heck out of 'em. They should rotate on those balls like....well like an easy rotating thing..... :D

It you're referring to the link in the forum, I didn't click on it. I haven't gotten any more spam in my personal box that was out of the ordinary.

Thanks guys, I'll re-check all of the ball links. My daughter is getting married this weekend coming up, so I haven't had a whole lot of free time lately.
I'll let you know what I find. :)
