Hi,
I'm asking a question about two sim. on computer. I want to change my realflight G2 for a new sim. But, I don't know wich choose between Reflex XTR and Realflight G3. Both seem the say quality of picture. But, I ear Reflex is more near of realistic of control Heli than G3!
Is it true????
Thanks,

Unfortunately you will not get a straight answer to your question. Everyone has their one favorite sim, making most "opinions" biased one way or another (yep, including mine). I have Reflex XTR, Realflight G3 (and G2) and AeroFly Pro Deluxe. XTR is my favorite both in visuals (sceneries and models are much more closer to what you see in real life than either of G3 and AFPD, yes including their own photo sceneries).
Any of the 3 will allow a beginner to learn the hand-eye coordination and basic orientation aspects of heli flying. XTR has the hardest hover training of any of the sims, making the pilot learn quickly. G3's hovering is too easy. Past hovering, both XTR and G3 do a pretty good job at simulating physics, although neither is perfect. AFPD is not as good when it comes to helis.
If you don't have a radio yet and aren't sure if you really want to do helicopters, then probably the best sim for you is G3 since it comes with a dummy radio. Good starting point, and once you get beyond the hovering stage and purchase a "real" radio, you'll be able to continue using it. If you already have a radio, then I'd strongly recommend getting XTR. Budget permitting, get both XTR and G3 and judge for yourself which one is best. You'll need a pretty hefty computer to run G3 (ignore the minimum recs, it's really a HOG). XTR is somewhat better in that respect, but still requires a good computer.
You can try a demo of XTR (sans radio control) by visiting the Reflex site (www.reflex-sim.de). I'm not aware of a demo available for G3 or AFPD.

rcfan...i think you summed it up pretty well
one other thing to consider is the machine you run...G3 is picky about the graphics card you run (Had several customers complain about this) the reflex seems to have better graphics and for some reason doesn't seem to be as hardware picky

There's a demo of G3 on their website www.realflight.com. I've only used this sim, and so far had no real issues with it.. I just wish I had a better graphics card.
