OK guys,
You all have helped me greatly with all of the questions I have asked. THANK YOU!!
My next round of questions pertain to setting up my Alierons and Elevator.
Today I test flew and the heli would go forward HARD (used alot of trim to pull her back) and also she would rotate left HARD and used alot of trim to correct this too.
I want to re-center my trims by re-setting my linkage but how do I do this?
When I ask how I am confused on, turn the linkage out (or up) and it does what?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Something's not right.
Take the arm off the servo and center your trims and sub-trims. Make sure your throttle/pitch stick is at the 50% point when reinstalling servo arms. When finished, if properly done, your swashplate should be level, and when you apply throttle/pitch, it should rise up in a level fashion, if it doesn't, you may have radio programming issues that need to be dealt with. For your cyclic, stand behind the heli and whichever way you point the cyclic stick, the swashplate should tilt in the same direction of the stick position.
I've learned that a heli properly set-up will need minimal trimming.
Good luck.

Thanks Brian, I will give it a shot.
On to my othr questions, one at a time.
When setting up CCPM the numbers you set in your radio (JR6102) are simply travel throws correct?
If so, what or why is it different from setting the travel throws with the all of the servos?
Thanks,
Michael

When you are working with a gyro (Futaba 401), how do you center the servo if it is on heading hold AVCS?
Can you unhook or unlock the heading hold?
Thanks again,
Michael

Yes, you are correct. The afr controls the servos throw and direction to make the swashplate operate properly. I don't know how the JR programming is, but I'm sure it's basically the same format. The eccpm is definitely the way to set-up, you get far more torque per input to the swashplate.

Initial set-up with the 401 states that you should center your servo and hover it in gyro mode and make necessary trim and gyro rate adjustments, when there's no tail drift or very little, land it and put into AVCS mode. Make sure all your linkages are at 90 degrees with arms when everything is centered. Your slide ring for tail pitch should be a few millimeters off-center towards the tail case. This will make it closer to center on your radio.
I hope I've been of some help to you.

It all sounds great.
I plan on working on the heli today.
Thanks for your time.
