I might be wrong since I've never used a multi-bladed head, but if you have more blades, won't that mean it'll take more torque to turn them all, and in turn cause the tail rotor to have to pitch more to hold it straight? What do people usually do do the tail when adding multiple blades?

Another question. After looking closely at the multi-bladed heads, I've noticed theres something just above the swash plate that looks like a single washout arm. What is that, and what does it do?

That is called a Swash plate driver. You do need a little bit more power to hold the tail .. All if my scale helicopters run in piezo mode or "Normal" Mode not heading hold since I use a slower more powerful servo. In scale you do not need a Fast servo just a strong one. Now some folks like the fast heading hold stuff but I prefer something a little softer and more scale like .. hate seeing a scale helicopters tail snap back to center .. just does not look right :) Hope this helps ..

I did a quick google search for swash plate driver, but it didn't tell me much, just showed a few. It looks like a set (or single) washout arms, but without the end that would have links going to the flybar, which makes sense since theres no flybar. What purpose does it serve? Why not just get rid of it completely since theres no flybar?
