Hey all. We've got another event coming at the end of July. It's an open fun-fly for all types of aircraft. It's our first fun-fly open to gas, nitro and electrics alike. Come join the fun!

Here's an old one of the car all loaded up.....it looks almost the same right now! ;) ...Except I've got the canopy and lawn chairs in there right now with the helis. I'll be heading out soon!

I know, I know.....I'm late!
The local newspaper did a slideshow with audio. Those of you running real tight resolutions may need to increase the zoom level on your browser to view it. I had to zoom in to 400%.

I'm also working on a short video that I'll be posting on Youtube soon. I'm still editing and deciding to put it to music or just leave it all natural.

Go into the lower right of your IE browser and where it says 100%, increase it to 400%. That's what I had to do on my laptop to get it to view.

Awesome TD, It's great to have a 17 year old still at the home. Comes in pretty handy at times like that............:D

I wish I could take credit for the slideshow, the newspaper put it together. I was disappointed he didn't take more pics of helis. He only had the one shot into the back of my car and the one of me flying, but not with the heli in frame. He had taken some shots in low inverted hover, but they didn't make the cut apparently. Still working on the movie. The first one I made had a copyright infringement with the song I had. I'm re-making it without music.

Finally!
The video is done and uploaded. I think YouTube is skimping on the bandwidth nowadays. The video just doesn't look as sharp as previous videos. There's a lot of planes on it, and some of me flying. Backwards flight is my big focus this year, so I threw some short snippits of my practice in there.

I've really been working on the backwards stuff lately.
The winds were turbulent and inconsistant which made flying feel more like work than fun as the day progressed.

Yes, attendance was good...especially for the first year for this event. JSchief was there and a couple others. It fizzled a bit earlier than I anticipated, though. I was the only pilot left for the night flying. 2 guys who were camping out, my buddy Bob and DJB were the only guys on hand to watch after dark. I'm still gaining faith in my night ship and had an issue with the canopy lifting right after the tic-toc on the vid. It hooked my elevator servo and almost brought it down. Luckily it let go and I was able to land. That'll have to be secured before the next run.
All-in-all, a good time with very little carnage. I received word that a gentleman who was there with a large SLR camera had some shots of the flying and I should have a disk of his pics soon. Stay tuned!
