View Full Version : Ys vs Os
I'm looking at the Raptor 90 3d, and not sure on an engine/pipe combo to go with. Which one's make the best power and reliability?

I'm going to bet that most if not all responces say OS
But, in my fixed wing days, I flew YS, and loved them, It's a question of lead or follow, I don't think you'll notice a difference at sport flying levels
just my $0.0000000000002 worth

If you go YS make sure you can find parts. OS you can get parts from about anyplace.
I am mean to my OS motors and they always come back for more. I vote for OS.
Also the crank threads are a different pitch, so you may need to find other parts if you are using a tapered nut or a screw on clutch.

I also vote OS. My current 90 size motor is the OS 91 SZ. I was running the Curtis MP5 on my Raptor 90SE with the OS 91 SZ Hyper with Pump. I just sold that machine with Engine and Pipe.
I have another OS 91 SZ Hyper (Non Pumped) for the Avant Aurora that I just ordered. I believe I will be using a Hatori pipe on the Aurora.
