Hey guys thought would throw out another mod I made. First I must say I had a HDX 500v1 SE and agree 100% with the review in issue #21 march 2008. I had a failure in mid flight that caused a total loss of my 500SE. Because I had all the electronics I decided to build a SA (direct swash plate linkages like the T-rex 500) instead of shelling out the money for a T-rex 500.( I hate not using equipment) While building I decided to use the T-rex 500 flybar 340mm vs. the stock 305mm and the T-rex 500 paddles.
There is a guy at our field that has a T-rex 500 (I have not flown it but have watched him fly many times) I would say the roll and flip rate are extremely close and with the 850kv motor running a 19t pinion it has gobs power and if you want ballistic you can switch over to 6s. :rolleyes:
