I have the RCE-BL35G ESC and I am curious how to program a soft start.

After reading the set up and looking at my radio (JR6102) I still can not figure this out.

Can anyone help?

Does your ESC have a soft start?
Make sure your transmitter throttle is set so at low throttle you have 0% 50% 100% at full. check your Throttle curve.
so you can program your ESC correctly. the ESC looks for low middle and high throttle during setup mode. any other settings might be causeing the ESC to read the throttle position incorectly.

go to this sight, and look under ESC setup he explanes setup for most ESC

I have the standard ESC from my Trex 450 SE.

It does have soft start but I think I need to set the throotle correct?

Just go into the radio and do that? There is no preset soft start correct?

Thanks,

I am having a new issue and am unable to get Align to answer e-mails. Does anyone have a toll free number to Align?

My ESC will not set to soft start.

I can run through the programming and nothing.

Sometimes I get a steady beep that will not shut off or I get a one beep followed by three beeps and this continues.

Can anyone help me through this?

Thanks,
Michael

Are you flying the heli?

what's it doing when spooling up the rotors?

First off, when programming the ESC, you must put your throttle stick at full to enter set-up mode then connect your battery to ESC. You should hear the power on sound of three beeps then 4 single beeps entering setup mode. Then acknowledge the highest and lowest stick positions before entering into the menu.

Mode 1 - Disable brake = Place stick at lowest position.
Mode 2 - Timing mode = Place stick at middle position.
Mode 3 - Battery Perotection = Place stick at low position{low voltage protection}
Mode 4 - Aircraft status =Place stick at Mid or High position {mid will set ESC into soft-start} {high will set ESC into Soft-Start+Governor Mode}
Mode 5 - Throttle reaction speed = Stick in low is standard setting, mid is medium speed, and high is high speed. I'd go with the standard setting unless your flying 3D then go with the mid or high.

Let me know how you've made out with the issue you're having.

I believe the steady beep is an alarm when your throttle stick is not in its lowest position. when connecting your battery to esc.

Good luck :)

Thank you Heli-CUzz for the instructions.

What ended up happening is that my first program (set up) the throttle curve was set in govenor mode (0-80-80-80-80).

When I switched tomy second program ( test set up) I had a differnet throttle curve and the ESC let me reprogram.

Again thank you,

Michael
