I have a 2100 JR receiver. It doesn't have anything for a gyro or a pitch servo. Did I buy the wrong one?

The 3-wire (male) lead from the gyro goes to the rudder channel and the single-wire lead goes to the gear channel. Then the tail servo plugs into the gyro.

Your pitch, assuming you're building a mechanical mix bird will go into the AUX1 Channel. If it's CCPM, then things are different. One of the Left and right goes into aileron and AUX1 (I don't remember which) and the single servo (usually rear) on the swash goes to ELEV.

I hope that receiver came with your radio and you didn't plunk down all that change for a 6 channel heli. A 7 Channel receiver like the JR 770 would have done just fine.

It was a package. It's CCPM. I'm confused. Enough said?

Your transmitter manual should explain what channels to plug the servos / gyro into when setting up your heli for CCPM. You also need to make sure that you set your swash type in the transmitter so you get the proper mixing (assuming you have a transmitter capable of that function). You didn't mention which transmitter you have. If your're still having trouble, reply with the tranmitter model and we can probably help you further.

It's probably a 9303 transmitter if it came with that receiver. I have an 8103, the programing is almost identical. The channels I mentioned should be correct. I just don't remember which is left and right (ail or aux1).

You're right, Troy. 9303. And it was just a bad servo, not my confusion... thank God.

Almost done... ^_^
