First flight for REX and it went real good, a little to much cycling at first but after some tuneing the T-REX hovered great. I just cant seem to stop the tail wag in heading hold mode, all of the mechanical end is good no slop no binding, head speed is good and strong I have a Spektrum DX6.radio can I take gain out of the gyro with the radio ? the gyro is a align RCE-500X heading hold. I picked up the combo kit from HeliProz. it was priced at my budget.
O ya thanks for the help with the swash mixing on the radio.
:D

If you have the RCE-500's gain wire (single wire) plugged into the gear channel on your receiver yes, adjusting your travel adjust (ATV or EPA) on the radio and it will bring the gain down. Otherwise, you will have to adjust the trimmer pot on the gyro. It sounds like that's the problem, though....too high of gain.

Do you know which way I should go + or - on the channel to lower the gain the switch is set to normal as far as reverseing.

If your gear channel is set up for "gear", you need to bring the positive value down. I.E., a positive number on your EPA is HH and a negative value is rate mode. If it's set as a gyro sens. channel, 50 and above is HH and 49 and below is rate mode.

The lower the number is a lower gain setting in HH mode. If you're at 80%, try going to 70% and etc. If it's set as a gyro sens. channel, 50 and above is HH and 49 and below is rate mode.
