Press Release From Futaba:

That radio looks like it was designed for the 72 MHz market. Probably uses the Futaba 2.4 GHz modules.

The price makes this interesting for me. Since it will cost $300+ to get the 8channel 2.4 ghz FASST module and receiver for my 9CHPs I wonder if this radio will be worth the cost of upgrading the radio instead of going the module route.

Honestly, I hope it just drives down the price of the module and I'll be perfectly happy sticking with the 9CHPs :D

Me too.

And what's up with the design, can't they make them more smooth !!

I am not impressed .

Flat out guys I am a JR guy! Love the stuf easy to program easy to use and great service..I will be buying one of these radios with the FASST system.. I have flown with the 14MZ and the 12Z recently and the gimbals are the selling factor for me.. I hate to do this but I could "FEEL THE DIFFERENCE" I'm sold on it.. The programing learning curve I am not lookng forward ...4 helicopters and 10 planes should get me up to speed..

i thought it was a 2048 resolution radio? why the 1024 on the screen? this is from futaba`s website.................." 2048 resolution in FASST 10-channel mode "images/icons/icon5.gif
now i`m confused (it do`nt take much ) which is it, and yes it makes a very big difference.

I thought I had read it was going to be 1024 but I just looked at the Futaba site and the text says "2048 resolution in FASST 10-channel mode"

http://2.4gigahertz.com/systems/futk9250.html

... though the image there also shows 1024.

I'm in the confused club as well

did some digging and found this out, when using the r6014 fs receiver or the r608 fs the resolution is 2048, apparently you can "bind" other less channel receivers and the res. is only 1024 ( i`m assuming this means the 6 and 7 channel versions of 2.4).
This info comes via the lhs guy who called futaba on the ph.

I emailed Futaba support. We'll see if they give me the same answer :)

This is what Futaba said regarding the resolution:

On the 10C resolution:

2048 in FASST multi mode (channels 1-4).
1024 in FASST 7 ch mode.

One thing I like about this radio is that I would not have to upgrade all my receivers at once. I could still use my 9C FM module in the 10C for models that I have not upgraded yet. I confirmed with Futaba that this is the case.

Of course I could spend $300 on a 2.4 module and receiver for my 9C and proceed the same way.

I'm thinking about it. Just don't know if there is enough benefit (for me) to buy the 10C or not.
