Why is it that every time I try to make something better for myself in this hobby it makes things worse. I had a glitch and decided to replace my off brand reciever with a proper Futaba R146i, a PCM reciever. Little did I know that Reflex wont work with PCM, so when I finally got my bird back together ready to plug in and fly, I switched my radio model back to my heli from Reflex, then I realized it needed be in PCM so I switched it over and VOILA! IT ERASED MY MODEL SETTING WHEN I SWITCHED OVER TO PCM! THen last night I wanted some sim time so I switched the Tx model back to the reflex setting and switched it back to PPM and it erased the model setting as well. AWESOME!

On the 'Parameter' submenu that you are using to switch from PPM to PCM (and vice versa), make sure you are not executing the model 'Reset' function. Simply switching between PCM and PPM should not reset the model's programming.

Hmm, I'll have to take a look, its a 7C. I dont think there is a reset function on that screen, but then again there is a tremendous amount I dont know ;)

You should also setup a second model memory for your sim. A safety net in case something gets reprogrammed in error while flying the sim. Hope you figure it out, and wrote down your settings somewhere......

th0rg0d brings up a good point. Unless you're using all your model memories, it's a good idea to copy your model into a spare as a backup. This way if you intentionally (or even unintentionally) change something that doesn't quite work right, you'll be able to restore it.

Hmm I can sympathise, been there done that, however as th0rg0d & cb said I now have the safety net, its a great idea and costs nothing ;)
