So I finally got Phoenix yesterday. :D Actually, finally is not the word. It was shipped on Wed the 2nd, and I got it Thur the 3rd. All for 5 pounds more!! Anyway, I have forwarded the recommended port range, 9000-9005 UDP to be specific, and I am still not able to connect to the master server. With and w/out my firewall disabled. Does anyone fly behind a Linksys router, and what did you have to do to make it work? Also, why doesn't the idle up switch work in the sim for the DX7? The hold switch does, and I can enable the gyro HH/Rate toggle switch, but the 3 position switch for idle up does not work, nor does Phoenix recognize it as an assignable channel. Any advice from fellow Phoenix flyers, before I go through the proper support channels? Thanks in advance!!
Welcome to the Phoenix club.
All I can say is that its about time!
You will probably never look back. :)
why doesn't the idle up switch work in the sim for the DX7?
What you gotta do, when you go to calibrate your transmitter in the sim, is have all your sticks and switches centered.
At some point it will ask you to cycle everything, all the sticks.
One thing I do, is cycle the sticks very slow. It seems you get better resolution.
About your idle up, Make sure you have your throttle and pitch curves programmed in (leave your pitch curves linear)
Phoenix doesnt recognize your Idle up switch, but it sees the throttle output from your radio. Your IDLE UP CURVES MUST BE PROGRAMMED I bolded that cuz its kinda important :D
Still, what I do, is cycle all switches, and all sticks in EACH switch position.

I fly behind a Linksys router. I've never made any adjustments to any ports, I just start the Phoenix program and go fly.
Lemme know when you figure out how to get online with it, and we'll fly sometime.
I can host.

Sweet, my DX7 is brand new, and I didn't set up anything. I will try the router again when I get a chance, but it wouldn't let me connect to the Master server. The only way I got online was by bypassing the router, going straight to the cable modem. I am busy watching football playoffs now, but will try again later.... Thanks for the setup tips :D
