I'm in the process of putting my blade cp "through the ringer." I've had a hard time hovering it, and had read the freaking manual all the way through, and could not figure out what was wrong. Then I decided to check my blade tracking, and after adjusting it I'm able to hover much easier. Just a half a turn on a pitch control link makes a big difference! Hope that helps a fellow newb :D

Thanks for the info. I will check it out after my crash kit arrives. lol The wooden blades hit the carpet and shipped a few pieces off and then I took it outside and in the middle of the street got it up about 2 feet and it went left and crashed ito the foot high sidewalk. so I am sidelined.
Have a happy new year,
Larry

Having had a Blade CP since they first arrived, I have had my share of crashes. I am almost positive I have spent twice the orignial cost in parts :( . The few things I have learned are that after a crash there are a few things that you NEED to check. 1. Blades and tracking. 2. Flybar - roll it on a flat surface and I bet it will not be straight. 3. Main shaft - remove the head, swashplate, and motor - spin the main shaft in the frame and look for runout (wobble). 3. when assembeling the head, make sure that the Flybar is balanced (reassemble the head, but leave the linkage unhooked from the flybar control frame and move the weights untill the flybar stays level) 4. make sure that the flybar paddles are flat and level 5. check your blade pitch (the book says 0 deg at 0 throttle, but you will have a hard time getting up. I recommend about 2.5 - 4.0 degrees, this makes hovering easier (lower head speed). I hope this helped.

good check list. I will especially try increasing the blade pitch on my heli.
