Will there be an discounts for those who subscribe to the hard-copy edition?

I just signed up for a subscription of the hard copy a few days ago.

Good question. I'll have to look into that and find out. As of right now we didn't plan on it. I'll have an answer posted in a day or two.

Next week we'll have an embedded link to Zinio on this page and there will be two options, one for new subscribers and one for current print subscribers. There will be small discount for current subscribers, probably $5.

That is cool magazines are doing this but, I will stick to the paperback because I love the smell of the ink when I open the pages.:)

I stare at my monitor doing computer animation or music and I get burned out just from that. Reading my favorite mag from RC Heli is a great break from the screen.:)

I wish great success with the idea for sure. Thanks for the cool mag and the tips.

Hey what about the people that originally subscribed for the online mag and then you had to remove it? Can a deal be worked out???

I agree, I paid for both print and digital (being down under means I can get to read the mag before I get my hard copy version).

With magazines, a good portion of the cost is printing and delivery. Why aren't the digital subscriptions reflecting this?

I agree why should I pay the same price for an electronic subscription as I do for the printed copy? Please explain.

It would have been nice to receive an answer to my question (above) Maybe I was wrong to expect one?.

Probably because they're sick of people expecting something for free. I'll bet printing and distribution IS a big cost, but producing it isn't cheap either. I'm betting there's a lucritive deal in it for Zinio, too. The price they charge and the costs associated with it aren't really a concern of yours. Pay for it, or don't.

Here is my guess regarding price for electronic mags: The cost of a printed mag is subsidized by advertising. The price I pay is only a small part of the actual cost + profit margin.

I have not seen the electronic edition. Does it contain just as many ads?
