I attended a heli fun-fly on the 22nd and one of the guys there had a camera mount for his Bergen. He was nice enough to let me use it with my video camera to see how the Predator handles the heavy load (Thanks Blake!). It handled it great! The video came out real smooth even with it hard-mounted to the skids with no foam in between. The video isn't great, we had no downlink to see what was in view. I also ran into another problem.....you can hear it at the end.....Sounds like a bad bearing in the engine. Anyone else out there with a gasser, maybe you can give me your opinion.

Plane and heli guys both get a little kick out of the pull start! No field box and "life support" to start it. Pull it and go!!!

Just thought I'd give an update for any who were concerned about the noise from the gasser. It turned out that 2 of the 4 bolts that held the clutch shoe onto the hub had sheared. About another 30 seconds of flight and the other two would have also. When I tore it down, the remaining two bolts twisted off with 2 fingers on the allen wrench. Century is very progressive about making changes on their heli's when a flaw or weakness is found and they got me the upgraded replacement parts out very quickly. It makes me all the more happy that I chose a Century helicopter. They are great about support.

That heli is awsome. It is powerful? Can you fly 3D with it?

It'll 3D without the camera mount on it. I'm no 3D pro, but I've seen it in action.
