I have to admit, it looks real. Is it the same price as the G4.0? I might have to get both!!!!

I dont know what you mean by "prerendered" or "rendered" or whatever, but those are actual screen shots from the game.

The flying sites are like the photofields on G3.

Nitro Mike,
Read some of the reviews and opinions (like on RR or HF) of G4. If you are a current owner of G3, It isnt worth buying.
It's basically a graphics upgrade, the way I understand it. hardly worth $200. (if you already have G3.

Phoenix, on the other hand, looks better than G4 (my opinion).
Phoenix flies way better than G3, and its cheaper.

It doesnt come with a radio. You use your own. You program your own radio (like you would with a real model, but not as involved)
Who wants to use that crappy radio that comes with G3 anyways?

Yeah, it looks better, but how much ram do you need, and what kind of graphics card do you need? This is what steered me away from getting it in the first place. Does it fly more life like than G3.5?

Here are the system requirements from the site there is also a nonplayable demo if you can run that your good to go IMHO yes it flys much more life like than G3.5 Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista
- 1.0 Ghz Pentium 3/4 or AMD Athlon/64 compatible processor
- 256MB system memory (RAM)
- 750MB free, uncompressed hard-disk space*
- ATI Radeon 9600/NVidia Geforce Ti4200 with at least 128MB memory
- Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or higher*
- CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Drive for installation
- 1 free USB 1.1/2.0 port
- 100% DirectX 9 compatible sound card (optional)

I have a newer Sony Vaio laptop, 2ghz Core 2 Duo, Graphics card I forget the specs on, but it has it's own ram.

Before the new graphics update, the sim was running perfectly on my machine, and runs quite well on some lower end machines.

With every graphics setting turned up to "high' I was getting some choppiness.
By turning down reflections and additional animations a little bit, I get an incredible looking sim.

Does Phoenix fly better and more realistic than G3? Without a doubt. There is absolutely no question about which is the best flying sim among the top 3.
Phoenix wins hands down.

+1 - I learned how to hover, then fly my first helicopter when you had to drive up to a drive-up window at a bank to cash a check. No internet, no ATM's, no Sim's. We had to hand-whittle our blades from big blocks of balsa wood. Just kidding about the blades. :D

I remember the good ol sims where the heli looked like a stick figure. Everything was green and there was no background.
