what do i do ..... still have Trex 600CF NIB was to build it as winter project ,,, now thinking should i go trex500 save the 450se for my 2 Elec then after get a 50 size nitro ,,, sell the 600CF :rolleyes:

I do not know others but i am haveing problems controling the little helis ,,,, I am use to 40-60 nitros from the 80s ..... now coming back to Helis 10-15 years later im thinking the more stable 50 like a trex600N would work better for me and the 500 is close to the same size for a electric

other idea is keep the 600CF and have spare parts for both 600E and 600N

I would sell/exchange the 600CF electric kit and go for a 600 Nitro standard kit instead. The battery cost vs flight time is so prohibitive on the 600 electric, that it is simply not worth it IMHO.

The 500 electric should have a better battery cost to flight time ratio, and the larger size will be more stable over the 450.

I think the ideal 'Align Fleet' would be a 450, 500, and 600n. That's what I'm working towards, anyways :D.

I can tell you the 600E flies great, and the 600N is awesome!! The advantage that the 500 will have is the cheaper parts, and batteries. My buddy has the 600E, and I have the 600N. Every time we go fly, I get jealous when he just plugs in a battery to fly. :mad:

The down side is he has 1500.00 in batteries, and still cant fly very long before he has to switch to his nitro. That's what kept me from buying the 600E. That's allot of cash for 1hr of flight. With the nitro just land fuel, and fly!! The 500 will be more economical to fly, and should be a pretty stable bird. :)

I am down with nitro mike. My buddy has a 600E. It flys nice and tons of power.... but when he is packing up for the day after burning through his $1000.00 in batteries. I just pull out another jug of fuel and keep going. Got to love Nitro with a 4200mah regulated Li-Po :D

I know this won't appeal to the Align snobs ;) But helidirect have been selling "their" 500 for over a year now. Seems to have a very good following as well.

I'm at the point where I want to either go nitro or maybe a larger leccy bird. I sold the 600 without even taking a screwdriver to it, the battery costs are silly(yes I know pound for pound it's on par with nitro fuel costs, but still......)
So the 500 class looks pretty tempting, but so does the .18 class nitro's :confused:

The 600N is 1/2 built and will not finish it till spring .... the 500CF is for flying yet this winter :D

I got that email too from RH and out of stock in 2 mins ,,, HeliProz only had it listed online for about a hour on Thursday

Hey Heatseeker! Haven't heard much from you in a while!. For my electronics on mine, they're gonna be very close to WiscHeli's. 9452's on the cyclic, 3151 on the throttle (I know, but I cheat speed with the linkages ;) ) 50 Hyper with an MP5, JR 7703D gyro 8900G servo (coming tomorrow) and real soon, I'll be picking up a 9303H 2.4 and ditching the old 8103. Eventually I'll have a governor on it with a reg system, but I'm on a bit of a budget with the radio purchase, so that'll wait until the summer. I want the new radio before the flying season starts to make the transition easier.

the Canopy on the Box Shows Yellow ... all ads say Yellow for a 500CF

I have been told now Align ran out of Yellow bec all want the 500CF kits so they are useing red now from the 500GF kits ... that is fine with me i wanted Red any ways I dont have to order a New Canopy :D
