I was hovering my Sceadu today, and for the third time the main rotor will get out of track in flight....????!!!!!

What the heck?

I will have to land it and lower the collective (flat pitch) so the blades can get back on track.

I go the stock wooden blades that came with it? I read the thread bellow, but I don't think is the blades..

I'm I loosing power in flight??

ANy input will be apretiated..

Thanks..

make sure you don't have any slop in the linkages, in the servos, etc. make sure your bearings are OK in the blade grips, and the main shaft, and make sure the dampeners on the spindle shaft are not worn out, for that matter, check the spindle, it may be bent even if you haven't crashed...maybe a hard landing during an auto?

Thanks for the input...

So far no slop on the linkages or the blade grips. Somebody mentioned to me that he had the same thing happened to him and that he found a crack on the see-saw. '

This is why I am getting ready for major surgery here. Looks almost like I am doing a 500 Hour inspection on my machine!

Is itr possible that the stock blades are the cause of the fludder?

did you find a solution to your problem? I think I have the same problem and cannot find a solution.
thanks

I have to say that i flew the heli yesterday twice (two tanks) and din't have the problem!

I took the head apart, cleaned the head compleately, lube evrything with Moly grease and inspected everything twice.

I couldnt find anything broken or worn. The only thing I can think of, is that it needed some lube.....but again....it didn't look dry either!!!????

I will let you know if it happens again..

I recently set my heli up to have +12 through –12 degrees pitch, and to get used to it, I was bouncing it up and down in the air. The blades started making a deep sound and the entire heli vibrated for a while. The local R/C store told me my head speed was to low.

The next day I tried to make it do this so I could play with the throttle and pitch curves to eliminate it but I could not get it to do it again. It may have been due to the temperature/humidity.

This may be the same thing happening to you.

Now that you mentioned...I think you are right. The day of the "fludder issue", it was very hot and humid. I remember having problems that day setting the needle just right.

It makes sense now that the engine wasn't making enough power that day!!!

Thanks!!
