I can't forget. Every time I see a picture of the New York City skyline, I'm reminded of it.

God bless the men and women of our country who volunteer to be part of the greatest fighting force in the history of the world. They're willing to engage an enemy on foreign soil so that hopefully, we never see another conflict on our soil.

May we all remember those that lost and gave their lives that day, as well as those currently giving their lives for our country.

It still seems like yesterday when I arrived at work that day, people were huddled around the TV in the break room watching the smoke pour from the first hit tower. As I joined them the second plane hit and we knew then that this was no accident.

Our hearts still go out to those that lost on that day.

I woke up that morning at 5:45. As I was getting dressed I heard over the radio that a plane had hit one of the towers, the first report was a "small plane." I was walking my dogs listening to the radio and the reports that were that it was airliner and that there was a posibility that the radar at JFK was screwed up and putting planes into Manhattan. I turned the radio off, finished my jog. Got home and turned on the TV, we all know how the rest of the day went.

It's one of those "Where were you when Kennedy was shot?" moments. I remember that I was working for Pepsi in Austin, TX, and I was at a Tiger Mart convenience store in Bee Cave, TX when I heard the news. The store owner had the news playing on the television behind the counter, and I saw the shots after the first plane hit.

Coincidentally, I went to another store on my route later in the day, which was owned by Arabs. I overheard the store owner telling an employee, "Great, our business is going to plummet because the Americans here will think that we did it."

I was in the 10th grade in art class

Since the attack I have been to ground zero twice.

A school field trip about 6 months after the attack and in June with the family.

Wish I could have seen the towers before they were brought down.

Not good at coming up with something new so I will ditto everyone else about how we Americans feel about this tragic day and how our hearts go out to the survivors and the families of those that lost their lives that day.

I was in a meeting and some one came in late, had a Dr. appt. and said he had just heard about a plane hitting one of the towers. Knowing him we at first thought he was joking but a few of us had phones with web news and sure enough he was right. We thought it was a small plane at first but soon heard otherwise. One of the guys ran to the store to get an antenna for the TV we had in the department and that is where we sat all day, glued to it.

Makes you realize how your parents and grandparents felt about Pearl Harbor.

I was working at Bloomingdale's in Boston{construction}. They shut the city down immediately after the first plane hit. We all stopped work, I happened to have a TV in my Van, so me and a few guys watched the news. It was live on the news when the second one hit. We were all horrified.
Its tragic and very sad. My prayers go out to all involved.

I was in the middle of the desert....in Kuwait....many miles from civilization. Needless to say when we recieved the radio traffic over our radio, we thought it was a stick joke, one's evil attempt at creating a scenario for our training exercise.....then there was a few key words said during the transmission that would never be used in training. Shock and disbelief set in. My next task was to inform our Soldiers and await our next orders.

No matter what one's political belief is, Support the Troops! Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Sailors, and Coasties are not part politicians, we do our jobs as we are trained, day in day out. It is the sacrifices that are made by these brave Americans and their families that make it possible for all to live and enjoy what we know....America.
