There's already several 90 size electrics that have been on the market for a long time. The Ion X, the Joker, stretched Razor, Logo 20/24 are few that come to mind.

IMHO, I think the down side to really large electric heli-s, is the neutron bomb you have to keep stored some were in your property :(

Avant will have an electric heli as well,
but that could be years from now.

the battery for that would have to be crazy expensive.

I like the larger electric heli because of the convenience. I can test her out in my apartment complex's yard and make adjustments right at home, yet still have the performance and stability of a larger heli. Some people have gas cars and trucks, and they get alot of complaints around the complex. I couldnt imagine firing up my 30-50 size nitro in the yard and fine tuning it. 90 size electric might be pushing my space envelope, but I could at least hover it and get gyro and flight trim perfect(close) before hitting the field. I don't mind the battery, both in cost and danger respects. I have yet to have a problem with my lipo's, and I store them in a fire resistant container just in case. For the price of 1 battery, I can easily get more flights then the equivalent cost in fuel, especially the higher %nitro for the bigger heli's. I do have more downtime, but the better for me, cool the nerves between flights........
