Really nice scale project Gary. The Bell is one of my favorite scale helis. Try to get some video of the flight.
Where do you fly up there? I spent 4 years in Anchorage and miss it so much.

Hello,
I think Anchorage is a great place to live as well, I fly my helicopter over off of Klatt Road over by Huffman or South Anchorage. Nice wide open field.
I learned how to fly on my own this spring with the help of this awesome magazine and Great Planes G3 flight simulator. I do all aspects of remote control, cars, planes, boats and really wanted to get into helicopters. There is just hardly anyone that I have seen flying helicopters here=(. I think already having experience with remote control made it a little easier learning how to fly as well.
The Century Hawk Pro is a great beginner helicopter that is very stable and easy to setup and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn how to fly helicopters.
I got my Bell 222 prepainted from Helicopter World/Century Helicopters out of California. They are a great group of people with a great support staff and huge inventory with awesome mail service. I ordered this fusaluge from them and it arrived in a big box in 3 days via USPS Priority Mail to Anchorage, AK. WOW! Most all my orders arrive in 3 days.
I liked my Hawk Pro so much I purchased another one and upgraded from a .30 size to the .50 size and installed a O.S. .50 Hyper with carbon fiber upgrades throughout the helicopter.
This is my Hawk Pro with OS. .32 last week before I took it apart and started putting it into my Bell 222 helicopter. This helicopter has flown 3 gallons without any problems.
Too fun!

Update,
I decided to install a O.S. .37 instead of a O.S. .32 just thought it would be nice
to have a little extra power with the added weight and decided to add lights
to it as well.
No maiden flight yet but soon

Well, I finally finished the Bell 222 30 size. I am amazed of the power of the O.S. .37
compared to the O.S. .32. Big difference indeed but uses more fuel.
I took this to the baseball field to test the mechanics and do a little hovering to make
sure everything is dialed in before I head to the field.
It just needs a little tweaking but it hovers great!
