Can someone explain to me the 3D and FAI? I've heard about 3D but never FAI, don't know anything about either.

Both of these are different styles of flying. 3D style flying usually consists of manuvers that look out of control and are amazing to watch. Most videos you find on the internet are 3D videos. Some popular 3D pilots are Alan Szabo, Eric Larson, and Henry Caldwell.

FAI style flying, which stands for Federation Aeronautique Internationale, is mainly precision flying and is most often used in competition. FAI manuvers consist of very precise and controlled moves and pilots that compete, will practice many hours on a particular manuver to get it perfect.

You also have Sport flying or aerobatic flying which may consist of the occational roll, loop, or stall turn. This is the catagory most people fall in.

The nice thing about FAI is it is intended for all skill levels. Once you are proficient enough for basic flight and circuits, you should be ready to compete at the beginner level. The competition is low key and is very helpful to practice precision. I found flying FAI was a huge help in perfecting my aerial photography flying.

According to that definition I can say I've been 3D with my BCX.
