Hey guys,
I'm a newbie in need of words from someone wiser. What's a good charger for LiPo batteries? The charger that came with my BCX sucks.
Thanks.

The best thing I can say is if you are in the market for a charger you should get one that charges all of the different typs of batteries (lipos, ni-cds, ni-mh, etc) You should also get one that is rated to charge a greater number of cells. You may not need it now for your CX but down the road if you buy a bigger heli you will need it then.
Some websites you can look at is Red Rocket Hobbies or heliproz.com. They have a large selection. Pay special attention if its AC/DC or just DC. If it DC then it is designed to be hooked onto a larger battery (like a car or a field box). If it's AC/DC capable then you will be able to plug it into a wall outlet.
I hope this help you out a bit.
welcome to the hobby! :)

I'm using the DuraTrax IntelliPeak ICE charger and it works great. The only thing I'd complain about is no backlit display. I also had to get a Li-Po cell balancer which you will need, altho some of the newest chargers have a built in balancer.
Hope this helps,

I got the Great Planes Trinton. It is a great buy. It will charge all the types of batteries(including the LiPo) and it will even charge the 12V power pannel battery!
Tower Hobbies just reduced the price to $89.00.
The only bad thing abou it is that you will need a power supply. :-(
But it is an excellent charger..

I use the hobbico MK II pro its a 12v charger which i keep in my box i bought JR plugs and can charge my Radio and RX at the field. It has adjusted amps and charges LI Po NMHi and NiCad. If you put some good rechargable batteries in your Blade radio and buy the $10 JR plug you can charge your radio batteries in like 15 mins.

I bought one of the MRC Superbrain chargers. This charger works well and you can use a 12v battery or the AC power supply that comes with the charger. The charger is pretty good.
