Ok i finished flying yesterday and packed everything in the car and went to run a few errands. When i got home and went to clean up I realized that the cardboard box that my 12v battery was in was soaked. I emidately pulled that battery out of the box and some of the plastic was so soft that i could move it around by pushing it. Further inspection of my flight box showed that a fuel line came off my pump and leaked onto the cardboard. But the foam in the bottom of my flight box was soaked and had a very strong (not for sure Nitro smell) but kind of heavy lead smell. I cleaned the box the best I could and threw the foam away. What im trying to figure out is could that sealed battery leak and cause the fluid to spill every where bec ive never known fuel to melt plastic. If so is there a possibility I could get rembursed by the manufacturer bec of this?
