My blade cp took a harsh landing today seeing as how i'm still a very novice pilot. Thing is, i gave everything the once over and in hover, whenever i give it rudder imput it starts to throw the boom left to right, not very far; mabye 3inches in each direction but its enough to be un-flyable (for me atleast).. One last question, does anyone know of a website or book or something that teaches all the heli lingo, theres a lot of words out there that sound really cool but i've got no idea what they mean. ;)

Issue #3 gave alot of terms and definitions, unfortunately it's sold out. In that issue, they also refered back to this site under "Featured Content" for more definitions, but I could never find it.
What areas are you having trouble understanding?

I'm a 2-3 month owner of a Blade CP and I've been flying it in little snatches here and there. I'm finally able to hover the beast for the duration of a battery. I've gone through only two pair of rotor blades during my learning time. I've got my blade dialed (proportional mix / gyro gain settings) really well right now.
Here's the deal. If you're in the air (approx 3-4 feet) and the tail is wagging on you with fresh batteries, the gyro gain is most likely too high. With the blade unplugged, decrease you're gyro gain by turning the gyro gain pot counter clockwise slightly. I'm going to stress this: you only need to turn this SLIGHTLY counter clockwise. If you go too far the tail will drift on you. If you increase it too much the tail will become very twitchy. After you start making adjustments you can keep the the blade plugged in while adjusting the gain. Proportional mix requires a 4-in-1 restart. MAKE SURE YOU BOTTOM THE THROTTLE AND THE TRIM LEVER BEFORE DOING THIS! I'd rather not be responsible for personal injury due to instruction on this.
As you progress in flying, you'll want to decrease the gain as you learn to go into forward flight. This will increase the rate at which you can change direction via the tail rotor inputs.
... .sorry for the long winded approach at this.
