need some help with throttle setup

I'm having trouble setting up my radio. When I press the throttle cut button it only cuts it if the carb is less than halfway closed. I'm using an O.S. .32 engine with an optic 6 tx. Any tips would be appreciated.

That is normal. I don't have experience with your particular radio but there are usually 2 settings for the throttle cut. One being how much throw on the servo to close the carb and the other is the throttle stick position. Most people set the throttle stick position to around 5% which causes the throttle cut to only work at very low stick. The purpose for this is to prevent accidentally hitting the cut switch while flying. You only need to cut the throttle during idle anyway.
