I'm fairly new to these forums, in fact this is the only one that I monitor and participate in daily(mainly because the people here aren't full of themselves like on some other forums).

I have noticed that there are junior members,members and senior members. I was curious to know how you advance to the next level? Is it based on the number of posts that you submit?

It is indeed based on the number of posts. That's how 8 out of 10 forums rank members.

Junior Member = 0-35 posts
Member = 35-100 posts
Sr. Member = 100+ posts

Hell you would have had a bunch more if asked for help in the forums instead of PMs

At some point I'll probably come up with some more creative ranks for the forum, something Heli-related. :)

I've noticed that. Thanks, Mike. I didn't see if I was in issue 2 because I don't have that one. But 3-4-and 5 I noticed I was in there. Glad to be of help, it wasn't that long ago I was a newbie. I took to the building very quickly probably because I have a mechanical background, a great teacher and LOTS of time off to read in the winter with my job.

Maybe I should just start building them for a living and charging a nominal fee. You guys could buy them and have them drop shipped to my house, I would build and set them up and ship them to you! Wouldn't that be a dream job!

Troy,

Don't kid around now....there will probably be plenty of people out there that will take you on the offer....including me. Why build my first one if I can pay someone to build it for me...especially if there is no one in town to check my Heli before the first flight. Don't worry, I won't hold you liable for anything. Just want your experience in building the Heli.....once I know what RIGHT looks like, I will be able to take on the challenge of building one myself.

Sure, they say building a Heli is part of the fun.....but not if you are a newbie and no one in town to help...I'd rather have one built by you then to crash and learn the hard way mechanically.
