In Model Helicopter World (UK mag) the Aurora is offered for sale in several advertisements and even here in RC Heli mag forum there appear to be people who fly it. Is it available for sale? I can't find it anywhere.

The Avant Aurora is not for sale yet. There is not yet an official release date.
The people who are flying them now, are team pilots.

There are a few stores, HeliProz included, that began taking preorders in February.

Aurora Kit update

Many people requested for an update about the status of the Aurora so here it is.

Some of the parts required to be modified and reordered or molds modified to fit modifications we learned out of the testing program. We ordered those some time ago and we are finally receiving the last remaining parts.

At this point we have no more changes pending and all the parts are now in release status. Most of the modified parts are already in except for some parts that were changed at the last minute but those parts shouldn't take too long.

As you already know we won't give a release date until we have every single little item in house but we are pretty excited about it because we are very very close.

We thought it would be nice to share some pics of what the kit looks like in close-to-release form so you guys can see what it'll look like when you get it.

For those who asked about it the box is 33-3/4" x 9-3/4" x 5" and fits in a standard 34"x10"x6" shipping box.

It comes with two sets of decals. Silver and Black and a CD with the manual and step by step assembly videos.

To make is easy for volume packing we use automated packing machines that have the advantage of printing the list of parts of each step on the bags themselves.

The other side of the bags are clear.

Nice layout,dj.

that wasnt me, bro.
I just cut and pasted from another website.
The only problem is, the rcheli forum limits how many pics I can put in a post, and how many I can script at the same time.
Thats pretty annoying, and they ought to change that.

You thinking about getting one of these yet, Cuzz?
I know you want a .90!!

It is an awesome looking helicopter. Very nice how everything is labeled.
The 90 sized heli-fund has been going a few weeks already. I'm happy with my 50 for now.
