im not sure if the all aluminum frame is all worth it but im going to post my progress any way just for all those out there who think of going this way...

first of all the frame is from the local hobby express in the little town of cranberry P.A.

#1 assembly is as fallows the instructions are a little sketchey but most tinkerbees like me hopefully will catch on.

this is all for now more later...

next is weights new and old which is lighter as apposed to stronger...

any questions please ask as i will be happy to look into any mods in different directions to lighten the package provided it will work on both alum and old frames...

the stock frame runs a blistering 55.2 grams with servos.

while the aftermarket superlanding gear attachment weighes in at 79.7 grams with servos.

and the aluminun frame comes in at a staggering 85.1 grams.

whats this mean you say well if you like ridged and strong the aluminum is for you its all that and a bag o chips.... but it realy needs to be watched to much weight can tax the electrics and cause signs of wear sooner.

in my eyes this frame is very exelent for the person looking for the indestructable heli
ive already pushed it a few times now with little problems 12ft+no rotor speed = big crash
=bent tail and loose parts but no parts to purchase, just straighten the tail and go....

ok its over two weeks of bashing and this thing has won its worth.
i have now crashed and fliped and rolled and still very little dammage the only thing that is noticeable is the tail needs trued to keep a straight line it seems to not like a slight bend..
and flight times are still a little shorter than the stock but now im sure i can teach the wife to fly this thing.. i may be no pro but if she can do anybody can.

the exrta plus is in this forum is threads on ballenceing the rotor head use it the resaults are incredable rock solid hover with almost hands off ability. thanks SSG scott...

ok a month or so and three to four pretty good crashes under my belt.
so far these wrere close calls and most dammage was to the tail, i swear this thing hates its tail almost every crash has its tail bent or broke. it must need some tweaking... ill find the answer..

as for the wrecks
#1 12 foot drop bad wind= bent tail set of blades
#2 4 foot oops why was i flying today = bent tail sikids loosend but ok
#3 6 foot flipout trying to fly fast forward pitched to far bit the ground = nothing got flexy blades.
#4 12 foot or more bloon ride took off got above the buildings and poof gone went for a ride on old man slipstream = beny tail, many loose parts 1 servo ,swashplate damage the frame took a beatting but the only fixes were the lexan plates that hold the servos needed epoxeyed back into place and the tail straightened for the 2nd or 3rd time.
as for cost the swash is not the frame nor the servo so still the frame winns with no crash parts needeed but some thime fixing bent tails just take it off and roll it on a flat surface till you find the bends and be gentil then put it back on..done..

1 word of advise thread lock its really needed and maybe a fast way to get the tail off
for repairs.

next exp will be fixing that tail problem..
