Hi all,
Is anyone else having a problem with the tail support on the Blade CP breaking off pretty easily? From what I can see it's one of the weakest points of the BCP, either the post breaks off or the cone it glues into breaks out. Is there another support I can use on the BCP that won't snap off as easy? Or is this something that's not a big problem after a little (lot, I'm pretty new) practice and I should just order a new tail rotor gearbox housing?
Thanks for your input,
Guidoco

1st ? Did you use your training gear? Did you use them Properly? Ok so that was 2 ?s
Have you learned to slide the CP around did you practice liftoffs and small landings? Basicly it boils down to do you have controll of your heli or does it have controll of you! :) I'm not tring to be mean :D but i haven't seen you fly so these are good ?s. I search the net and learned some good quick steps to fly. I was hovering in 3 batteries (NO HOPPING AROUND ) for me. Just broke my fist skids though. DUMB PILOT LUCK!
Had to replace main shaft and spinndle the blades were fine after some super glue here and there. (DON'T TRY THIS A HOME) Blade balance is important! E-mail me for Flying Tips. P.S. To answer your ? I cut 1/2 inch off the support and zip tied some fuel tubbing on for carpet flying. It works ok there is nothing better than pavement. Oh yeah don't land so hard next time.

To answer your questions: yes, yes, yes - a little, it's still the master, no problem.
Thanks for the tip on using the tubing on the tail support. I already put it on but haven't had a chance to fly with it yet, it looks like a great idea.
I've only had the BCP for about 3 weeks but have had limited flying time. I live north of Seattle, WA and spring in the NW tends to have a lot of small breezes. For a beginner a breeze might as well be a baseball bat....well not that bad but I've replaced several blades because a breeze pushed me out of control and into the ground.
I've put on training gear and made sure the CP was balanced by lifting it by the flybar.
Today, by suggestion I just added two sets of flybar weights to help fight the breezes right now. Two sets are at the end against the paddel and the third is about half way up. All were carefully measured when positioned for balance and the paddles eyeballed for level with the flybar collar. Also by suggestion I used a pitch guage and changed the pitch from 0-10 to 1-11 and adjusted the tracking so it right on. I also had to adjust the proportional to correct for some rotation with the added pitch and weight. I've heard of adjusting the gain on the gyro but I don't know how much would be helpful, just that the tail will twitch if you go too far.
I just tried lifting off a little (about half an inch for a sec.) in the house after making the adjustments and it seems pretty stable, but I need to get outside where I have some room (about 8'x14' before hitting garden) and it's dark so I have to wait till tomorrow.
Thanks again tc4master
