We had the opportunity to get our hands on the new T-REX 600. This helicopter is a pre-production prototype. It features a closed loop push pull bellcrank system on all three CCPM servos, a conical cut main gear, and hollow steel 10mm main shaft that is stepped down to 8mm for a robust one way autorotation bearing. The 600 uses a belt driven tail and offers a driven tail for autorotations. This helicopter is slop free and all linkages move very smoothly. In flight it is more quiet than the small T-REX 450, all you hear is the rotor blades. Look for more info on this hot new heli in Issue 5, on-sale May 28th.

So I'm guessing issue #5 will have the full review? :D :D

I wonder if you can still use a DX6 radio with this size TREX?

It still should only require 6 channels.

Although we've yet to have any failure with the DX6 so far I don't think a 600 size electric qualifies as a "park flyer" LOL. With that said I would not install the DX6 in the TREX 600.

True, I guess you woulnd't want that mohnster getting too far away from ya with the DX6.

Why not? It's not as if you're going to be flying this thing half a mile away just because it's so much larger in size... the only thing I can think of is current draw from the larger servos, but even that doesn't seem to be the issue at hand.

Why wouldn't you?

I have seen some of the dimensions on the new Trex 600 but I am wondering what the landing skid width is? Has anyone heard when they will be available?
