I got a sceadu 30 (not EVO). The problem I am having is that when it is about to lift of, it will do a violent spin. The GYRO is a CSM Heading lock 200 (blue). It set upsidedown like the manual says.. Is the gain too high? The servo is a FUT. s3003.

Thanks

First, let's start with the reversing switch on the gyro, I don't have a CSM gyro but there's gotta be one. Try flipping that switch and see what happens. Remember reversing the gyro DOES NOT mean that you need to reverse your rudder channel.
If your gain was too high, it would wag violently, not spin, so I'm pretty sure it's not your gain.

Not to insult your intelligence, but you should also make sure that the T/R is spinning the right direction. It should turn so that it cuts up into the rotorwash. If it were a wheel, it would pull the heli backwards.

A good way to check that your tail inputs are correct is with the heli turned on, if you push the tail right, the pitch should change to counter the movement, I.E. if the T/R were spinning, it would blow to the right. The trailing edge of the blades should move to the right. I hope that helped and didn't confuse you more.
Good luck

A violent spin normally points to either a reversed gyro (i.e: tail pushes right, gyro/TR corrects with left trust, which will push the tail even faster to the right) or reversed rotation on the T/R (could happen, however, it the turn direction is wrong and the T/R blades are put in right (according to manual), the blades would turn towards the trailing edge)..
Also, if you have to much gain, the tail will wack, if you have to liitle gain the tail won't hold

I'd look at the gyro first...

The csm gyro I got doesn't have a riverse switch. You just flip the gyro upside-down (which I did) according to the manual. This is done due to the CW direction of the rotor.

The helicopter will lift about an inch from the ground and then, it will go into the spin. I got evrything (mechanicly mounted right). I have the corect T/R response on the ground (while light on the skids). I am suspecting a servo that is too slow or not enough gain....

I found the rpoblem.... I found that the T/R servo isgone.....It works fine as long as it's not loaded. Whenever loaded with torque it slips. Probably striped gears...

Thanks for the replies...
