Just thought I would let you in on an experiment I did with my Shogun. I installed a [URL=http://www.justgofly.com outrunner (400DH) in it. I'm thinking to myself, this $49.00, little motor is going to be worthless. Well I can say that when I am not flying it I am sure I can use it to start my car. OMG what a screamer! I used the suggested 8T on it. I was comparing the Medusa and the AON motors and those two were around 80.00 each. This was a little less than half the cost and rated at 4400KV. It is running with an almost required 35amp (they suggest a 25) CC Phoenix and a 2100mah Thunder Power Lipo. Their web site is full of useful info and lots of photos. They also shipped really fast. Pretty cool! Just thought I would pass that on. Continued flight results will be posted here. Thanks.

4400Kv on a Shogun??? Little bit of overkill!!!! It's gotta kill your flight times. 3550Kv is more than enough for a T-Rex, let alone a shogun! I thought that was overkill when I put it in there.

The manufacturer and some other resourses said this motor would be great for the Shogun. They suggested the 8T pinion. It was also half as cheap as an AON. At this point I am dialing my Optic 6 and the GY401. I am in no rush to get this up in the air until every detail has been addressed. I guess we'll have to see if this motor is over the top. Worse case, I can use it to run my clothes dryer!
