First let me give you some background.

I have a hornet CP,Ikarus Micro Gyro(not head holding) and a Hitec Optic 6 radio with Hitec 6 channel receiver.

I have been doing test runs on a wood parquey(spelling?) floor with training gear installed.
No matter how I adjust the gyro(0-25-50-75-100%) all I get is the heli spinning uncontrollably counter clockwise.

I have no settings programmed on my radio for gyro( left at Inh). Channel 5 on receiver is not used because I was unclear what to connect there. Does tail servo wire go to channel 4 and gyro to 5? I have tail servo wire to gyro and gyro to channel 4.
Also no setting on Rudder/Throttle on radio(left at 0).

I know I'm overlooking something,but I can't figure out what.

You gyro direction is reversed. There should be a switch on it labeled rev. Flip it. I don't know what kind of gyro you have, but I assume it can either be remotely controlled or has a gain pot on the gyro.

It will work either way, most of the time, remote gain is a waste of a channel if it does have an adjustment on the gyro. Channel 5 on the Optic 6 controls the gyro gain, though.

Afterthought, the 3 wire connector on the gyro goes to channel 4 and the 1 wire connector from the gyro goes to channel 5 for remote gain if it has remote gain.

Found problem. The tail rotor hub is ca'ed to the tail rotor shaft(very poor setup). The ca didn't hold so the hub was lose enough that the tail rotor wasn't spinning fast enough to counter main rotor.
