So true vapo, bloody rednecks
man why, it looked like a pretty mint setup heli as well. They could of at least done a fast high pass and do some real shooting and end up with a better effect

They should atleast send me the salvagable parts! I need them for my Sceadu when I crash.

They could have atleast used a semi auto BB gun or .22. It seems more fun to me to see how many shots it would take with a BB gun.

This seems like something I would do if I had a large disposable income. Perhaps I could try Airhogs Havoc, Storm Launcher, or Helix against the BB gun?

"Hey, Bubba! I betcha can't hit muh helicopter with yer sniper rifle!"

The real video would have been from that night. Everyone knows the Redneck Rule is, ya shoot it, ya gotta eat it.

the heli was probably paid for by the gun or ammo company, the way it was presented. It wasn't so much about the heli as the gun that was destroying it.

But the chopper was just hovering!!!!
If you cant hit that, with type of gear he had, then he might as well take up knitting!!!
Absolute waste!!!!! :(
I just don't get it, or is that it..... Am I missing something???

Those green paddles you see on that heli are actually the ones that I'm using on my Raptor :D

The reason he shot it down, is because he was getting out of the hobby. He posted a for sale ad on some otheRR site in the classifieds section, and just said, "screw it", after receiving a bunch of "low-ball" offers.

The only thing that was majorly damaged was the engine (thats where he was aiming, for safety's sake). except for the other parts that are routinely broke in a crash, most everything else was salvageable, and later put up for sale.

And for all those negative "safety" nannies, this was done at a closed shooting range, with proper safelty precautions taken into effect.

Of course, the results were less than glamerous. And for those who think it was a huge waste of money, think how much money Hollywood blows in just one stunt or special effect, for one reason, one reason only.

But the chopper was just hovering!!!!

Thats where the "safety" thing comes in. The pilot of that helicopter was Ray Nemovi.
He had actually put on a "sick" 3D show just prior to. (i'll try and find the video)
The guy doing the shooting was the owner of the heli.

The original plan was to shoot the heli actually "doing something", but the guys decided that that increased the odds of having an arrant shot, and and out of control heli.
