Hey guys. I have good news; I am receiving 2 helis in a trade. I am getting a blade cp and a hummingbird pro. The blade has the upgraded tail boom, tail motor, 3 sets of wooden balanced blades. The humming bird has two lipo batteries for it, two working gyros, tons of spare motors, and blades. I am also getting a nice Futaba 6 channel tx with 2 rx's to go with it. I want one heli, so which of my options would you suggest I do or give me another idea.
1) Sell one of the heli's (I would want the better one, but I am not sure which one is actually a better heli) and with the money I get from that just upgrade the heli I would keep.
2) Sell both heli's but keep a gryo, transmitter and receiver and with the money I collect from everything else buy a t-rex and the other needed parts, but I wouldn’t really want to go over and end up spending much more money.
What do you guys think?
What parts does your local hobby shop carry? Since your new (like me) your going to go thru some parts as crashing is going to happen. So you just want to make sure that you can get the heli fixed without waiting on the dreaded UPS man..

If your just starting out, I say keep the Blade and sell the Hummingbird. Put the money aside until your ready to move up to something bigger and better. Then you'll be that much further ahead. ;)

So I guess I will just keep the blade, and maybe upgrade to a t-rex down the line. Im not sure what my hoby shop carries, but I have a Hobby people and a Hobby Town Usa, so I should be fine.

Get rid of both of 'em and get the T-Rex. I have a T-Rex. I also have a Blade CP and a Hummingbird 3D Pro that are getting belt drive tail mods right now. Can't believe how much money I'm sinking into the two of them. Would have been MUCH cheaper to buy another T-Rex! I'm also building another T-Rex from spare stock parts.
I just recently broke out of the hover only mode and started flinging the T-Rex around with abandon. What a BLAST! I'm absolutely hooked on helis now. I'm afraid my airplanes are going to pretty much be left in the hangar from now on. The T-Rex and Reflex XTR sim have pushed me over the heli edge. There's no looking back now!

Thats what I was thinking. Look, Im getting a nice radio and a reciever, and a gyro. If I sell both helis, how much do you think I could get? Anyways, with the money I get from both those helis, I can buy the t-rex combo brushless/esc from helihobby for like 225, and then what else would I need? Some servos? Isnt that it? i would only have to pay a little more and have a far supirior heli. This sounds like the way to go, unless I overlooked something.

Avoid HeliHobby at all costs!!!!! Worst place on the net. Do a search on ANY heli forum and you'll see what I mean. GRANDRC (http://www.grandrc.com/inc/sdetail/15462) is just one of many places to get a T-Rex package. It's where I got mine and several subsequent orders. Modefo's (http://www.modefosheli.com/_trex_upgrades___parts) is another good place to buy. I've spent a ton of money with Wes too. I love them both.

Hey, I am Wes... LOL. Anyways, thanks for the headsup to avoid helihobby. Depending on how much I can get for both helis, I might just sell both and spring for the rex. :)
How funny.. I am Wes too!! What an awesome name.
Anyways, I agree the TRex is a much better choice. All I was saying was that in the beginning you are going to crash, its not matter of how but when. So when you do put 'er in you'll want to be back in the air ASAP. Hence the suggestion for the local support.

Ohh, im not gay or anything lol. As soon as I get my 2 helis, I am going to sell them, but keep the radio, reciever, and gyro and with the money I make buy the t-rex bl combo and the servos. I might have to put some into it, not sure atm. The SE looks sick, but is way expensive. :( I'll be fine with an xl lol.
